So Microsoft is buying Skype.

Microsoft is aquiring Skype for $8.5 billion, which could either turn out to be a valuable aquisition for Microsoft or a horrendously expensive mistake.

Since Skype’s founding in 2003, no one has yet managed to run Skype as a profitable business. Even Ebay who bought Skype for $3.1 billion 2005 failed to realize any profit from it. In 2010 Skype recorded net losses of $7 million, which seems incredible for a company which generated almost $1 billion in revenues and with 170 million regular monthly users.

I heard a story on the news just a few days ago about Cisco, the company that sells the Flip Camera is going to shut down the ‘Flip’ part of their business…

This might not be such a big deal for most people, but for online marketers it is!

In MLM I am often reminded of the saying, “If it’s to be, then it’s up to me”, but the paradox is that MLM is a team game. So being in the right team is important. In any team sport, how well the players play together is far more important than how good an individual is. One great player can’t carry an entire team, but a team who plays well together can lift itself to great heights.
