This is a never aired interview by Piers Morgan with social media expert Gary Vaynerchuk.
I love what Gary has to say. When it comes to the business aspect of social media and the internet, there is so much irrelevant fluffy nonsense being pumped out by many so-called gurus – which is then replicated by their followers, that listening to Gary is refreshing real.
The video is a little over 18 minutes long, which I know is like an eternity in our A.D.D. society, but pay attention because in what appears to be fairly casual interview, Gary actually shares a lot of intriguing insights.
Did you manage the full marathon 18minutes and 46seconds? (lol)
What insights did you pick up from this interview…?
P.S.
Here’s a ‘bonus’ follow-on interview Gary did with Bryan Elliot of ‘Behind the Brand’ in which he discusses his experience of the Tonight Show with Piers Morgan…

Thanks Antonio for sharing this. It’s a great interview with amazing detailed nuggets for anyone who wants to do it right and get results.
He’s right, far too many are pushing their stuff and not listening, thanking, interacting.

Antonio,
Thank you so much for providing this video. I LOVED it! I had known that Gary V is a social media super-star, but this video let me know WHY he is. He really gets it.
It was very reassuring to me that his advice fits perfectly with my point of view. For one thing, he emphasized the importance of LISTENING rather talking. I was delighted when he said that, in the internet age, the person who is a good conversationalist in a cocktail party will be much more successful than the one who gives the best PowerPoint presentation.
Hurray! He made my day! Good news for me! Listening and empathetic conversation, rather than a formal presentation, is my forte.

Hey Buddy
I’m glad you LOVED IT!
Gary is one of the few people I listen to
when it comes to social media.
It’s so refreshing to here some
straight-talking good ol’ common sense!
